Continuing with the Justin Vernon theme, today brings Volcano Choir. This was the first side project I had heard from him after being introduced to Bon Iver. When comparing it to Bon Iver, I'd say it's not as folky and has more of a production with some songs having some electronic workings. A song that fits the latter is "Island, IS". On first listen, it seems completely different than Bon Iver but after you listen to it more and more you can hear remnants of them ringing through. So give that a listen just to see what else Mr. Vernon is capable of pulling off.
